Alvaro G. Ruiz

Hi y’all, I’m Alvaro Ruiz. Today I develop affordable housing in Texas and New Mexico. I also run a media platform for the people who finance and build it.

I spent nearly eight years in banking across five desks and three countries before deciding I’d rather put deals together than check whether they fit the lender’s credit box.

I came here from Venezuela not speaking the language, and I was the first in my family to finish college here. My dad ran his own business back home, so the itch was inherited. What I’ve learned since is that ownership is how wealth gets built, and that this country pays the people willing to take the risk.

So here’s my bet. I know one industry cold, and code and content are how you turn knowing something into owning something. That intersection is where the power is, and LIHTC Leaders is my version of it. I built it myself, with AI doing the work I couldn’t. One person can build what used to take a company. I haven’t found the ceiling yet.
